1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This privacy policy applies to Robert Walker’s developer projects and applications operated under Walker Coding, including walkercoding.com, Crossway Church Policy Library (policy.crosswaychurch.com), Retreat Weekend (retreatweekend.com), and Carl Flanders (carlflanders.com). Robert Walker is the contact for privacy questions about these projects.
This policy covers information processed by Walker Coding in connection with these sites and applications. If a project is operated jointly with a separate organization, or offers additional features such as donations or event registration, any additional notice presented at that collection point explains the responsible organization and the processing specific to that feature. This policy does not make unrelated third-party websites subject to Walker Coding’s control.
2. Information we process
- Website visits. Hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser information, requested pages, timestamps, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the websites.
- Contact information. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if supplied, and the contents of your message.
- Application information. When a covered application offers an account, registration, or other interactive feature, it may process information you provide to use that feature. The application’s collection screen or supplemental notice should identify the requested information and its purpose.
- Phone verification. If a covered application offers phone-based login or account verification and you choose to use it, we process your phone number, verification status, delivery information, and records of your consent to send a security code.
The Walker Coding hub does not contain a phone-number collection form, account registration, payment form, or SMS sending functionality.
3. How information is used
We use information to operate and secure the websites, provide features you request, answer messages, verify accounts where offered, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use phone numbers collected for login verification to send promotional messages.
4. Phone numbers, verification, and SMS consent
Where verification is offered, a phone number and the information necessary to deliver the requested code may be processed by service providers such as Twilio and telecommunications carriers solely to provide, secure, and support that verification. This operational processing is different from sharing information for another party’s marketing.
A verification message is sent only after you request it and give consent in the relevant application. Consent to verification messages is not consent to marketing. Standard message and data rates may apply. See our verification messaging terms for assistance and opt-out information.
5. Service providers and other disclosures
We may use providers for website hosting, email, security, and, where enabled, authentication and message delivery. Providers receive only the information needed to perform their services. The developer hub is intended to be hosted with Hostinger; verification-enabled applications may use Twilio.
We may also disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, or protect legal rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Nothing in this section permits the marketing use of mobile information or SMS consent described above.
7. Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including necessary security, consent, and legal records. Retention may vary by application and provider. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
You can choose not to provide optional information. If you do not provide a phone number for a feature that requires phone verification, that feature may be unavailable. Contact robert@walkercoding.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information Walker Coding controls, or to ask about retention or a specific project. Please identify the project involved and do not send passwords or verification codes. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Applicable rights and exceptions depend on your location.
9. Updates and contact
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. For questions about this policy, contact Robert Walker at robert@walkercoding.com.
